The Rotherham Partnership is the overarching Board responsible for overseeing the delivery of the Community Strategy 2005-2010. The Partnership Board is made up of the leaders and equivalent from the key partner organisations helping to deliver the strategy.
The Partnership Board meets on the third Thursday of the month, bi-monthly (there are six meetings a year). Meetings are not open to the public but you can find out lots of information about what the Board is doing in the newsletters accessed from the website.
Accountable to the Partnership Board for the delivery of the Community Strategy 2005-2010 are five thematic partnerships based on the five strategic themes: Achieving, Learning, Alive, Safe and Proud. They have representation from the public, private, voluntary and community sectors.
The thematic partnerships will meet for the first time in October 2005 following the launch of the Community Strategy 2005-2010 at the Future of Rotherham Conference in July 2005. These partnerships will meet every 6-8 weeks.
Accountable to the Partnership Board for the delivery of the Local Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy (LNRS) 2004-2010 are three delivery partnerships taking forward the priorities identified for addressing the root causes of deprivation and targeting areas and communities most in need.
The delivery partnerships are well established and have been implementing the action plans set out in the LNRS since it was launched in 2004. Two of these groups are sub-groups of the thematic partnerships. The other is a cross-cutting group focusing on children and young people.
