The Rotherham Partnership has brought together partners in Rotherham to agree a future vision for the borough. This future vision is set out in Rotherham’s Community Strategy, which includes the targets to 2010 that partners in Rotherham have committed to achieving.

The Community Strategy 2005-2010 was launched in July 2005. The strategy provides the framework for joint working. The vision is based on the aspirations, needs and priorities of local communities and includes action plans which state how it will be implemented.

Across the country, every area is required by Government to produce a Community Strategy through the Local Strategic Partnership “for improving the economic, social and environmental well-being of their area” (Local Government Act, 2000).
